Curious what a typical day in Playa del Carmen would be? The Riviera Maya has a ton of things to entertain you and admittedly, there is not a typical day, where routine sets in and you find predictable things to do, and little excitement. Each day brings a day that you can design for yourself or you can let the day unfold and take you where it decides to take you.
A great breakfast at Carboncitos before we really start the day and head off to the Tulum ruins for a half day, self guided adventure using public transport and no tour guide!
collectivo to Tulum ruins with 10 others – easy to find, easier to ride in and a great view of other parts of the Riviera Maya for only $2.50 usd
Saw the famous Mayan pole dancers on the way to Ruins in the Plaza, just 200 meters from where the collectivo left us off. Amazing!
Our self guided tour with our guide book took us 2 hours to complete at the Tulum Ruins. Though the beach was tempting the beach at Playa del Carmen was calling us
Dinner was great Fajitas and with fresh tortillas, beans, guac and rice. Heaven on earth to me and my wife.
Needed a long walk after that dinner, skipped late night cocktails, walked 5th Ave and called it a night as I know that the sun wakes up at 615 am and I don’t want to miss my morning sunrise!
That was a day in Playa del Carmen taken by a guest that decided to share his experience. Thank you for your photos, a journal of your adventures and sharing this with all of us! Loving these photo journals as they do speak louder than words!
