The beginning of January 2013 has been full of music and New Years Eves parties in Playa del Carmen. Now that the BPM festival is over, we are reporting on the latest events in the Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen for the remainder of the month.
1.January 19, 2013 and every Saturday in January! Looking to do something a little different on your vacation? Meet some locals, share in your passion for animals and join the Playa Animal Rescue Dog wash on January 19! Remember that the dog wash happens every Saturday so if your vacation is later than January 19th you still have the opportuinty to have some fun!
2. Are you a Rotary Club member back home? Every Tuesday the local English speaking Rotary Club meets at Origienes Restaurant on 38th and beach. This is another great way to meet local Playa del Carmen peeps and find out how your Rotary Club can participate in some international activities. Gives you a great excuse to make Playa del Carmen a regular stop as a Rotary Club representative and find ways for global community participation.
3. La Cieba Parque is having their first Market of 2013! Join in the cultural activities, bring the kids and have a look at the local crafts made by artists from the area.
Thankfully that seems to be the list for January 2013 as of today. With so many events all over the world for the holidays it is nice to have a bit of break and just hang on the beach. We do have a Beach Resolution to keep for 2013 so the beach and some of these weekly events seem to be just about enough. Heard of any events in Playa del Carmen that we missed? Let us know and think of coming to stay in January as an impromptu visit to refresh yorself after the holidays!
