Hotel boutique pequeña hacienda mexicana
Increíblemente sorprendido, este pequeño hotel esta a escasos metros del mar y de la 5ta av . Habitacion amplia, luminosa con balcón ideal para familias. Recepcionistas resolutivos, nos compartieron información del destino, siempre sonrientes y atentos a cada detalle. What a beautiful gem of a hotel that gives you all the Welcome Home feel that you could want. The Management and Staff truly are what makes this hotel. From the moment you walk up to the front counter to the moment you return on your next vacation, you are always family. The ambiance and unique vibe of this hotel truly is one of a kind and you just can't beat the location. We have stayed 4 times and each time we have had a different room. All extremely unique, comfortable, secure, and the most comfortable beds. The whole hotel is well maintained and spotless. We have to give a huge shout out to Alexandra and Mariella, who went above and beyond when I sprained my ankle on an outside venture we were one. Insuperable ubicación. En plena 5ta avenida, muy cerca de la terminal de Ferry y de ADO. Básico pero bonito y cómodo. Para llegar a la habitación había que subir 1 piso por escalera. Falta donde apoyar cosas en el baño. No era muy práctico eso. Muy buen WiFi. Estaba en un restaurante a la vuelta y seguía conectada. La cama y almohadas son mullidas y cómodas. Hotel familiar en Playa del Carmen

Another wonderful visit at my home away from home. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff is at this hotel. They are always available to answer any questions and offer recommendations. The location is absolutely perfect. Steps away from the beach and fabulous 5th Ave. We brought along another couple with us and they absolutely loved it as well. El mejor hotel en Playa del Carmen
No suelo hacer comentarios de hoteles y restaurantes a menos que realmente me haya gustado, pero Hotel Cielo merece una mención honorifica ya que desde el primer momento en que comencé la gestión para hacer mi reservación fui tratado de una manera profesional y muy atenta, pero mi verdadera sorpresa fue a mi llegada, siempre me recibieron con una sonrisa y atendieron todas mis solicitudes, la habitación impecable y dormí como rey, tienen una terraza increíble y muy poca gente lo aprovecha, mi familia y yo disfrutamos de la espectacular vista al mar caribe. También desayuné en el restaurante que tienen ahí el cual se llama Carboncitos, ordené unos deliciosos chilaquiles qué aún sigo saboreando. FANTÁSTICO LUGAR
Tuve una experiencia increíble en este hotel. La ubicación es simplemente perfecta, a pocos pasos de la playa, lo que hace que cada día sea especial desde el primer momento. La atención del personal fue de primera, siempre atentos, amables y dispuestos a ayudar en todo. Realmente te hacen sentir como en casa. El restaurante merece una mención aparte: la calidad de los platos es excelente, con productos frescos que se notan en cada bocado. Sin duda, uno de los mejores aspectos de la estancia. Una hermosa joyita en estilo típico en el corazón de Playa literalmente a 10 Mt de la quinta avenida y el mar. Limpio, seguro, con mucha privacidad y empleados profesionales e impecables en su trabajo. Ubicación realmente cerca de todo, super exclusiva. The property may have good reviews but I am writing this based on personal experience that the management and their ability to address customer grievances is questionable if you cancel your booking with them. I had to cancel my trip to Mexico due to the unrest in February and security warnings issued by various countries. I was able to reach out to them a week after the cancelled trip to discuss about a possible partial refund which the General Manager denied and gave me the following explanation: 1. The General Manager felt the area was safe and maybe I was referring to wrong news channels or security alerts. The manager said the altercations happened on the "west side" and there was nothing in Playa Del Carmen. However news channels such as Riviera Maya news said otherwise. The altercations on the west side happened on February 22 / 23. I cancelled my trip on February 25 for which I have a confirmation email. My check in date was February 27. I reached out to them 7 days after my trip because I was in another country trying to figure out alternate arrangements since my trip to Playa Del Carmen was cancelled. 2. Penalty and forfeit entries cannot be reversed in the books (this was told to me who is an accountant and does this for a living). They have forfeited my entire stay amount. The general manager then said that maybe my accountant could advise me better. That is not the response expected from someone in the hospitality industry. 3. The General Manager cannot reverse this (So you have to either know the owner or have a strong connection with god while staying here). The manager agreed that he could not reverse this but also did'nt pursue taking an approval from higher management. 4. The manager said its a non refundable rate - Would be fine in other situations but there has to be a consideration for situations like this. In any other case I would have been there at the hotel since I didn't cancel my booking just because I wanted to. 5. The general manager then said that this happened because I booked through a third party and not with them directly. Expedia was actually helpful enough to reach out to the hotel and ask if they would consider this as a one time courtesy considering the situation but the general manager refused stating it goes against policy. They were willing to help but the hotel refused. 6. After this interaction through Expedia, I did try calling the hotel but the number doesn't connect. When I dropped an email to the front desk with my contact number, they ignored it and didn't bother to connect but went into defensive mode on the google review I gave. I tried to reason with them and offered them proof of my cancelled trip which didn't help either. I also suggested a partial refund which seemed fair but they still refused. I had to write this for other travellers that be very careful while booking this hotel because once you pay, you have to reach there even if the world is burning down. Hope that helps future travellers plan their stay here better so that they dont have to go through the same geopolitical discussions with the General Manager :)
